Setting Mille Lacs priorities via Aitkin County SWCD-led drone study
The Aitkin County SWCD with assistance from the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe completed a drone study of Mille Lacs Lake’s entire shoreline. Staff used the video footage to identify and prioritize shoreline properties that could benefit from restoration work.

New online tool will track condition of state’s wetland restorations
BWSR staff members are preparing a new tool that will help track the condition of structural components incorporated into wetland restorations located on conservation easements. The tool is expected to be available in the coming months.
